Advent at SRN

Advent begins this coming weekend (November 30 & December 1)! Preparing for Christmas can feel overwhelming. Between gatherings with family and friends to shopping for the “perfect” gifts, we can lose sight of the reason for the season…preparing our hearts to celebrate the birth of our Savior. Take a journey with us this Advent. Together, we’ll make it the holiest Advent ever.

The Advent at SRN page of our website is LIVE! This page features our full Liturgical schedule, calendar of events and, ways to be involved this season. Our staff worked diligently to find special resources for parishioners of all ages. Whether you’re a school-aged child or an adult – there’s something for everyone. Check it out today!

The Magnificat Advent Companion

Make sure to grab your copy of the Magnificat Advent Companion from the Gathering Area. This rich spiritual companion will accompany you like a beloved friend through the four weeks of Advent with poignant scriptural reflections for each day of the season. This invaluable little booklet promises to bring you ever closer to the One who promised: I am with you always (Mt 28:20).

Liturgical Schedule

A detailed Liturgical schedule is posted on our Advent at SRN page, but here’s some highlights for this season. Contact the Parish Office with any questions at ParishMail@StRobertChurch.org or (616) 676-9111.

Reconciliation Times

We will offer an additional hour of Reconciliation on Wednesday, December 11 & 18. Priests will be available to hear your confession from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. these evenings.

Immaculate Conception

Even though the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary has been transferred to Monday, December 9, it is still a holy day of obligation. Join us for Mass at 9:00 a.m. or 7:00 p.m.

The Nativity of the Lord

Tuesday, December 24 (Christmas Eve): 4:00, 6:30, and 10:00 p.m.
No incense will be used at the 4:00 p.m. Mass. Incense will be used at the 6:30 and 10:00 p.m. Masses.

Wednesday, December 25 (Christmas Day): 10:00 a.m.
Incense will be used at the 10:00 a.m. Mass.

Parking for Christmas

Finding a parking spot for Mass at Christmas can be difficult. This year, our friends at Ada Christian School have graciously allowed us to use their campus for overflow parking during our 4:00 and 6:30 p.m. Masses on Christmas Eve.

Shuttles will be running from 3:00 to 8:30 p.m. to transport you to and from Mass. These shuttles are climate-controlled and will be fully decorated for Christmas. Please note: the shuttles are not handicap accessible.

ALL of Parking Lot A (outside the Parish Office) will be designated for handicap parking only. The circle drive by Door D will be available for one-way, drop-off traffic only. No parking will be available.
