Safety Team
The St. Robert of Newminster Safety Team is dedicated to fostering a safe and secure environment in which parishioners, guests, and staff can worship with confidence and peace of mind. The team’s primary focus is providing support during weekend Masses and the weekly school Mass, responding promptly and appropriately to any safety concerns that may arise.
Team members come from a variety of backgrounds. Some bring experience in law enforcement, security, fire services, EMS, or medical fields. Others are individuals with a willingness to learn, a calm presence, and the ability to remain level-headed in stressful situations. All volunteers complete an application process, undergo a background check, and fulfill all Virtus/Protecting God’s Children requirements. Safety Team members also participate in ongoing practical training, including sessions offered by the Kent County Sheriff’s Office and First Aid/CPR training.
