Millions of Monicas is national prayer movement of mothers who come together at the parish level to pray for their children who are struggling to accept their Catholic faith or who have left the Church entirely.
St. Monica, mother of St. Augustine, prayed for 17 years for her son to return to his Catholic faith. He did return, and he became a doctor of the Church and great teacher. Like St. Monica, we gather to pray for our children who have wandered away from their Catholic faith. We listen to scripture, pray the rosary, and pray for our children and for each other.
For over a year now, we, mothers, and mother-figures, have been gathering in the St. Robert Eucharistic chapel one evening a week. Feedback from participants reveals an interest in meeting during a weekday, in addition to the one evening.
