All High School students are invited to attend Youth Group sessions on the first and third Sundays of each month after the 11:00 a.m. Mass. These sessions will include lunch and continue to use the LifeTeen program. The goal of LifeTeen is to provide a safe and fun place for youth to find a solid Catholic community, get answers to their questions, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way.
In addition to our Sunday Youth Group Sessions, we will be offering a weekly session on Wednesday nights from 6:45-8:00 p.m. with a community dinner before the session. This year, we will be using “Quick Catholic Lessons” with Father Mike Schmitz. Some examples of the lessons are “Why be Catholic and not just Christian,” “Why confess my sins to a priest,” “the battle of prayer” and “the meaning of suffering.” Learn more on the Ascension Press YouTube channel.
We also offer a variety of retreats, social outings, trips and service projects throughout the year. Some examples of these include our 12-hour overnight retreat/lock-ins in the fall and spring, serving the hungry at God’s Kitchen, and our summer trip to Damascus Camp.
