Join us for Mass on Wednesday, January 10 at 9:00 a.m. Bishop Walkowiak will be celebrating Mass here at SRN! This Mass will feature music and be attended by the students of St. Robert Catholic School.

COMMUNITY BIBLE STUDY

Our multi-generational Community Bible Study kicks off this Wednesday, January 10! We’ll begin with dinner in Newminster Hall at 6:00 p.m. and break into our age-appropriate studies at 6:30 p.m. Contact the Faith Formation Office with any questions at faithformation@strobertchurch.org.

Nourish for Caregivers

Deacon John Ashmore will begin offering Nourish for Caregivers Support sessions beginning Tuesday, January 16 at 1:00 p.m. A virtual option via Zoom will also be available. Sessions will last about 90 minutes and include prayer and discussion. Support materials will also be available. Please reach out to Deacon John with any questions or if you are interested in joining at jashmore@strobertchurch.org!

SPIRITUAL HEALING THROUGH GOD’S LOVE

Everyone age 21 and older that may be single, widowed, or divorced are invited to gather in the Word on Thursday, January 18 at 8:00 p.m. in Room 400 (just off the PLC) for fellowship, encouragement, and Bible references. You are welcome to attend all or part of the Adoration service prior to this gathering. These gatherings will occur monthly following the Contemporary Adoration service on the 3rd Thursday of the month. URGENT NEED: Beginning January 10th, we need childcare providers on Wednesday evening from 6:15 to 8:45 p.m. during Community Bible study. By watching kids 5 and under, you allow their older siblings and parents to attend bible study! For anyone 18 years and older, we can offer a stipend! SRN CHOIRS TO SING NATIONAL ANTHEM AT GR GRIFFINS GAME!

The SRN Choirs are singing the National Anthem at Griffins game on Friday, January 26! Bring the entire family and show our choirs support! The Griffins will go head to head against the Belleville Senators. Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. The event will also feature $2 hot dogs. Tickets are $20 each and are for upper level faceoff. A portion of each ticket will be donated to the SRN Music Ministry, so PLEASE purchase your tickets through Jane VanHouten instead of online! Email her no later than Friday, January 19 if you want to join us at janev@strobertchurch.org!

Theology of the Body Retreat at St. Pat’s Parnell

Discover the meaning of human sexuality, marriage, and family in the expansive vision of God’s design. This two day retreat, lead by Bill Donaghy, delves deep into the teaching of St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body to reveal the richness of the Sacrament of Marriage and to prepare you for the wonderful mission into which God has called you. The retreat will be held January 26 (5:00 to 9:00 p.m.) & 27 (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) at Saint Patrick Parish on Parnell. Click here to register!

Intro to Natural Family Planning at FLPC Grand Rapids

Are you preparing for marriage or looking into Natural Family Planning (NFP) options? The Franciscan Life Process Center invites you to Introduction to Natural Family Planning (NFP) on January 24 from 5:30 pm at the Grand Rapids campus, 654 Davis Ave., NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504. This one-time session covers the basics of how NFP works and highlights the differences between methods. Cost: $25/individual and $40/couple.   • 12 Hours of Eucharistic Adoration returns on January 11! Click here to sign up for your Holy Hour!
  • Junior Disciples (Grades 1-5) Faith Formation sessions resume THIS WEEK! They will be OFF next week, January 15 & 16 for MLK Day. Contact the Faith Formation Office with any questions.
  • Young Disciples (Grades 6-8) SHINE Youth Rally at the 3 Mile Project on Sunday, March 24 at 1:00 p.m. Click here to register! Registration open through February 11, 2024.
  • Emmaus Road Ministry gatherings continue in the new year! Join us for Coffee, Cookies, and Community “CCC” in the PLC on Sunday, February 11 & 25, March 3 & 17, April 7 & 21, and May 5 immediately following both the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Masses.
  • Emmaus Road Meal and Speaker on Sunday, January 21 after the 11:00 a.m. Mass. RSVP required by January 17. Open to adults age 21 to 49!
  • Older, Wiser, Livelier Seniors (O.W.L.S) will meet on Friday, January 12 to kick off the new year! Coffee and fellowship at 9:30 a.m. Presentation at 10:00 a.m. RSVP to Lu Paletta.
  • K of C Pancake Breakfast after the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Masses on Sunday, January 14.
  • That Man Is You (TMIY!) Playoff Watch Party on Saturday, January 20 at 4:00 p.m. in the PLC. Open to those age 21+ only. Children and adults under age 21 should not attend. Light food and beverages will be served. BYOB. RSVP to Patrick Smiggen.
  • Exploring Priesthood Discernment Meetings for young men ages 16+ will be held at St. Stephen Parish from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on the following Sundays: January 28, February 18, March 10, and April 21. RSVP to Pattie Reynolds at preynolds@grdiocese.org.
