A note about Stewardship Month
November is widely known in the Catholic Church as Stewardship Month. November is also the month in which Catholics in the United States celebrate Thanksgiving, the heart of which is gratitude. In fact, the word Eucharist comes from the Greek for “thanksgiving.” This makes November an ideal time of year to focus our spiritual lives more intently on gratitude for the blessings of the Lord and to respond by living and serving with hearts formed by charity, courage, and hope. Please prayerfully consider where God is calling you to serve and take time this month to discover the many ministries of our parish where you can put faith into action – attending the Get to Know your Parish event could be just the start of this process!
