St. Robert of Newminster Parish is partnering with USPS and Noto’s Old World Italian Dining for the annual National Association of Letter Carrier’s STAMP OUT HUNGER Food Drive on Saturday, May 11! This will be the largest one-day food drive in the nation!
Mail carriers will pick up food donated to the Drive while on their routes. They will bring the food to Noto’s for our volunteers to sort and pack. All food collected that day will benefit the SRN food pantry partners, Northwest Food Pantry and The Other Way Ministries. Currently, 1 in 6 Americans are facing hunger, including millions of children, senior citizens, and veterans. Let’s come together and live out our parish mission by serving God and neighbor through charity and service!
Last year, families of St. Robert Catholic School participated in the Stamp Out Hunger Drive. They processed roughly 11,000 (yes, eleven THOUSAND) pounds of food in 6 hours. Across the Greater Grand Rapids area, volunteers processed over 120,000 pounds of food.
