Parish Newsletter for March 6
Third Week of Lent

We’re Updating Our Weekend Mass Schedule

This weekend, we announced a change to our weekend Mass schedule, which will go into effect May 25/26 (Memorial Day Weekend). We will offer only three Masses: 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. on Sundays. Sunday, May 19 (Pentecost) will be the last time we celebrate the 6:00 p.m. evening Mass.

For more details on this decision, you can read Fr. Tony’s full statement here, which was sent out on Monday, March 4.

Our Catholic faith is a gift that unites our parish family with Catholics throughout the Diocese of Grand Rapids and in the universal Church. We all are pilgrims on a journey of faith, striving daily to become disciples of Christ through stewardship. When we give to the CSA, we are supporting individuals and families in our parishes, in our communities, and beyond. Our parish goal is $279,055 and 100% participation, which means a completed pledge card from every household. If you have not responded, please do so as soon as possible. Learn more at GRdiocese.org/CSA.

The season of Lent by its penitential nature is an opportune time for anyone seeking forgiveness to receive God’s unfailing mercy and restore and renew their relationship with Jesus through the sacrament of penance.

During The Light is ON For You, Thursday, March 14, individual confession will be available from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the Reconciliation Rooms in the Eucharistic Chapel. For a full list of all participating parishes in the Diocese of Grand Rapids, please visit GRDiocese.org/Penance.

Please enter through Door C. Handicap parking and an accessible entrance are located at Door D.

Haven’t been to confession in a while and feel a little nervous? Let us ease your worries! Minor changes to the Order of Penance went into effect during Lent 2023. Click here for details and a step-by-step walkthrough of the Sacrament.
