IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE!

This weekend, we’ll kick off a week-long celebration to recognize the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi Sunday) and the feast of our patron saint, St. Robert of Newminster. See the full schedule below:

Weekend Mass Schedule

This weekend, we will only offer TWO Masses: Saturday, June 1 at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 2 at 10:00 a.m.

Eucharistic Procession

Immediately following the 10:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, June 2, the faithful are invited to participate in a Eucharistic Procession around campus, followed by Benediction in the main Sanctuary.

What is a Eucharistic Procession? Watch this inspiring video featuring Fr. Mike Schmitz to find out!

Parish Picnic

Join us on Sunday, June 2 for our Parish Picnic immediately following the Eucharistic Procession and Benediction. Look for the big tent in the PLC Parking Lot. We’ll be serving up lunch, games, and a whole lotta fun!

Summer Send-Off

End the school year with a special Mass dedicated to the Growing Disciples of our parish on Tuesday, June 4 at 6:30 p.m. Our priests will offer a special blessing as we head off to our summer adventures!

Then, we’ll celebrate with ice cream and popsicles on the playground! If the weather is bad, we’ll gather in the PLC.

Final Mass of the Year for St. Robert Catholic School

Wednesday, June 5 marks the final Mass of the school year for our students and staff at St. Robert Catholic School. Let’s celebrate the end of their first year as a parish school and join them for Mass at 9:00 a.m. in the main Sanctuary.

Show your “Mighty Shepherd Spirit” and wear a teal or turquoise shirt to Mass.

Pray for the Needs of our Parish Family

Spend an hour with Jesus on Thursday, June 6 and pray for the needs of our Parish Family in front of the Eucharist! During these trying times, everyone could use prayer. The Eucharist will be exposed from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Eucharistic Chapel. Sign up for your hour to pray now!

Never been to Adoration before? Don’t know what to expect? Click here for a handy “how to” for your Holy Hour. We also have books available in the Eucharistic Chapel to help guide you!

Feast of St. Robert of Newminster

In honor of the feast of St. Robert of Newminster on Friday, June 7, Fr. Weber will lead us in Evening Prayer (Liturgy of the Hours) at 6:00 p.m. in the main Sanctuary. We will have a relic of St. Robert of Newminster on display for veneration!

Enter through Doors B, C, or D. Handicap parking and accessible entrances are available at Doors B and D.

What is a relic? It is something that serves as a memorial to the deceased saint. They are divided into three classes. A first class relic is a body part of a saint. A second class relic is a possession that a saint owned. A third class relic is an object that has been touched to a first or second class relic or the saint touched himself or herself. We are blessed to have a first class relic of St. Robert of Newminster! By venerating this relic, we give thanks to God for St. Robert of Newminster and pray for the grace to imitate him.

Please contact the Parish Office if you have any questions or concerns regarding these events at ParishMail@StRobertChurch.org or call (616) 676-9111. We are open to serve you this summer Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon).
