Dear Parishioners,
Thank you for being valued members of St. Robert of Newminster parish. I am delighted to bring you some exciting news that speaks to the growth and prosperity of our faith community.
As our Faith Formation programs, adult prayer groups, and school continue to flourish, we embarked on a journey to enhance the physical capacity of our parish and school through a comprehensive capital campaign. The planning for this initiative has been diligently underway, with a finalized project budget and a dedicated team of parish members leading the charge. I am pleased to share that our Together in Christ campaign is now officially in motion, and our team recently convened for its inaugural meeting.
The total budget for the Together in Christ campaign stands at $11.7 million. Through the incredible generosity of several donors, they have presented us with a unique challenge: a 2 to 1 match. The collective gifts from these donors amount to an astonishing $8 million, leaving us with a goal to raise $3.7 million for the proposed renovations and expansion. We are immensely grateful for the overwhelming support from our donors, and their gifts are indeed a testament to the strength of our faith community.
In May, we will be reaching out to each one of you, inviting you to consider making a gift to the Together in Christ campaign. Your gift will be more than a financial investment; it will be a meaningful commitment that significantly impacts the lives of all those who participate in the diverse programs offered at St. Robert of Newminster, ensuring that they are nurtured and guided by the efforts of all who volunteer and invest in this campaign.
In addition to this exciting campaign, we are thrilled to share another piece of wonderful news. A generous donor has pledged $5 million for additional space dedicated as our Parish Activity Center. This multipurpose center will not only increase recreational space but also provide a larger venue for events and a fully functional gym space for both the school and faith formation. This act of generosity from within our parish is truly heartwarming and will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on our community.
