St. Robert Catholic School – Now Enrolling!

Did you know that St. Robert Catholic School is a STEM school? Have you ever wondered what that means? If so, here is how we define STEM, or moving forward, STREAM at St. Robert.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. STREAM adds Religion and Arts to the acronym. So, what does STREAM education look like? At St. Robert, we make sure our main focus is teaching our students about our faith and infusing these lessons into our academic subjects so that they can see how to take their faith out into the world.

When you visit St. Robert, you are not going to see classrooms of students working on worksheets or teachers asking students to repeat information to demonstrate learning. What you will notice are students who are actively involved in activities and lessons that offer the opportunity to use the information they are learning, and to learn through doing and not only listening. Teachers collaborate with their students and ask leading and big questions to help guide them through the curriculum and standards that they need to master at their grade levels. Students are working in groups, independently, with technology, and with manipulatives to gain understanding of their learning goals.
