The 40-day season of Lent is a time of grace, renewal, and conversion. During this holy season, the Church calls us into the penitential practices of prayer, fasting and almsgiving to help us prepare for the profound celebration of Holy Week and Easter, when we remember Christ’s passion, death, and glorious resurrection.

- Eucharistic Adoration WILL TAKE PLACE on Ash Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:45 p.m. in the Eucharistic Chapel.
- Ashes WILL NOT be distributed from the parish or school offices this year and going forward.
- There will be NO confessions, evening Faith Formation sessions or Community Dinner on Ash Wednesday.
ASH WEDNESDAY PARKING: As we prepare to welcome a large number of people on Ash Wednesday, we are grateful for the many who will gather with us to begin the Lenten season.
Because attendance is typically high, we kindly ask for your help in economizing on parking so that we can make room for as many cars as possible around our campus. - If you are able, please consider carpooling, especially for the evening Mass.
- When parking around our campus, we also ask that you pull fully into spaces and avoid leaving too much extra space between cars.
- Handicap parking is available in Lot A and there are several spots adjacent to Door D.
LENTEN REGULATIONS FOR FASTING & ABSTINENCE:
- Abstinence from meat is to be observed by all Catholics, ages 14 and older, on Ash Wednesday and all the Fridays of Lent.
- Fasting is to be observed by all Catholics, ages 18 years of age but not yet 59, on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. Those who are bound by this may take only one full meal. Eating solid food (snacks) in between is not permitted.
- Those that are excused from abstinence and fasting (outside the age limits) include the physically and mentally ill, including individuals suffering from chronic illnesses such as diabetes. Also excluded are pregnant and nursing women.
