Pray for our Priests & No Daily Mass Sept. 22-25

Father Tony is away from Sept. 22 to 25 attending the annual Priests’
Convocation — a time of retreat, prayer, formation, and fraternity with Bishop Walkowiak and fellow priests of the diocese.

INVITATION TO PRAYER: On Tuesday, Sept. 23 between 5:15 and 7:00 p.m., we invite all parishioners to gather for Eucharistic Adoration in the Sanctuary. During this time in front of the Blessed Sacrament, we invite your prayers for Father Tony and all the priests of the diocese attending the Convocation.

PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO DAILY MASS OR CONFESSION SEPT. 23-25 WHILE FATHER TONY IS AWAY. ALSO, THERE WILL BE NO EUCHARISTIC ADORATION SEPT. 24 & 25. WE WILL RETURN TO OUR USUAL WEEKLY MASS AND ADORATION SCHEDULE ON FRIDAY, SEPT. 26.

Faith Formation Sessions begin this week! If you haven’t had the opportunity to register your child or youth, you may still do so here: https://strobertchurch.org/faith-formation/registration/.

Questions? Email FaithFormation@strobertchurch.org. You may also contact Hans Whitmer, director of faith formation, HWhitmer@strobertchurch.org, or (616) 676-9111, ext. 117 with questions or for assistance.

The meal is offered at no cost, but free will donations are gratefully accepted. • NEW! Introducing St. Robert’s F.I.R.E. (Family Integrated Religious Education) —If you have children 18 and under still living at home, and you’d like to gather with other parish families for faith building fun, then F.I.R.E. is for you! Join us monthly for F.I.R.E. Café: A time of connection over coffee, juice and donuts for SRN families with young children. The next gathering is Sept. 28 after 9:00 a.m. Mass in the Parish Life Center. Contact Hans Whitmer, HWhitmer@strobertchurch.org with questions.

  • Faith Formation is still in need of 5-7 volunteers to help out regularly in the nursery on Sundays during 9:00 a.m. Mass and as needed during other faith formation related events. We are also in need of a volunteer to teach Kindergarten and Preschool on Sundays. If you have a passion for working with young children and a heart for service, please contact Jennifer Kohn, JKohn@strobertchurch.org to sign up to volunteer or to learn more.
  • Welcome to our newest parish staff members! We are pleased to announce that Jeremy Jack, coordinator of evangelization; Lauren Ludwig, faith formation assistant (part-time), and Jacob McCarty, maintenance assistant have joined our staff. Please welcome them! Watch the monitors around the narthex for more info.
  • Pet Blessing, Oct. 4 at 10:00 a.m.: Paws up, pet lovers! Father Tony will offer a blessing of the pets on Saturday, Oct. 4, the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Bring your furry or feathered friend and gather in the parking lot in front of the rectory at 10:00 a.m. See you there!
