Third Week in Ordinary Time

SEVERE WEATHER POLICIES AT SRN
|
We live in Michigan, and severe weather is likely this time of year. In very rare circumstances will we cancel the celebration of Mass. Because of this, we ask all parishioners and friends to exercise caution and practice prudence when making the decision to travel to Mass when road conditions are dangerous.
Furthermore, when Forest Hills Public Schools close due to weather, Saint Robert Catholic School will also close and Faith Formation programming will be cancelled for the day.
We will post cancellation details as early as we can via email, text message, Facebook, Instagram, our Parish App, and our website.

WOMEN ALIVE EVENT FOR LENT
|
LADIES – are you ready to step into Lent transformed and ready to live your faith courageously and joyfully? Join us for our Lenten event! Women ALIVE Ministry is proud to present “Living Your Faith with Courageous Faith and Contagious Joy” featuring Kelly Wahlquist, Catholic author, speaker, and founder of W.I.N.E. – Women In the New Evanglization, on Tuesday, February 13 at 7:00 p.m. in Newminster Hall. Host a table of friends (8 or less), come alone or with just a few friends. We kindly ask you bring an appetizer or dessert to pass. RSVP by Friday, February 9 to the Faith Formation Office.

Twelve hours of Eucharistic Adoration has returned to SRN every Thursday through March 21! Exposition will be in the Eucharistic Chapel from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. From 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., the Eucharist will move to the main Sanctuary for public Adoration. Sign up today to spend a Holy Hour with Jesus. MANY time slots are still open!

Celebrate our Parish school January 28 – February 3! Learn more about Saint Robert Catholic School after every Mass in the Narthex January 27 & 28. Then, follow along with us on Facebook and Instagram as the School takes over our parish social media channels! We’ll finish the week with a Father/Daughter & Mother/Son Valentine’s Dance on Friday, February 2 at 5:00 p.m. The dance will be held at Noto’s Old World Italian Dining and is open to ALL parish families! Tickets are $45 per adult and $20 per child and include dinner, drinks, and dessert. Purchase tickets today!

Parish Snapshot: What Else do I Need to Know?

- Happy Birthday, SRN! This past week, on January 17, our parish celebrated the canonically establishment by Bishop Haas! Check out the official decree here.
- LENT IS ALMOST HERE! We will be offering two Community Meatless Meals this year. One on February 23, the other on March 22. Volunteer to help with decor, food prep, and other duties today!
- Registration for KEPHA Men’s Conference on Saturday, March 9 is now OPEN! Click here to register today.
- Nursery Volunteers still needed for Community Bible Study Nights! If you’re 13+, contact Kristen Jankowski to volunteer at KristenJ@StRobertChurch.org
- Faith Readers Book Club will meet on Monday, February 26 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom only to discuss The Alice Network by Kate Quinn. To obtain a copy of the book and the zoom link, contact Teresa Burns at TBurns@StRobertChurch.org.
- First Communion Plate Painting will be held on Monday, February 5 and Tuesday, February 6 during normally scheduled Faith Formation sessions. All home formation and non-traditional disciples preparing for the sacrament are welcome!
- Young Disciples (Grades 6-8) SHINE Youth Rally at the 3 Mile Project on Sunday, March 24 at 1:00 p.m. Click here to register! Registration open through February 11, 2024.
- Emmaus Road Ministry gatherings continue in the new year! Join us for Coffee, Cookies, and Community “CCC” in the PLC on Sunday, February 11 & 25, March 3 & 17, April 7 & 21, and May 5 immediately following both the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Masses.
